As we jogged through La Manchuela, we scattered seeds—and with them, hope. From those seeds sprouted Germina Empleo, a project aimed at marketing of vegetables, drawing on the region's traditional knowledge. We reclaim abandoned garden plots and teach participants in our projects how to grow their own food, which represents another step toward “food sovereignty.”
We are also committed to the local rural culture and want Germina Empleo to be rooted in traditional practices and techniques.
We do not use any chemicals in our garden, and we make compost from the garden waste itself.
Organic products, direct-to-consumer sales channels, and healthy products
Product GERMINA EMPLEO
We grow seasonal vegetables in various areas of Albacete (Manchuela and Sierra de Alcaraz), which you can find at partner stores and farmers’ markets in the regions where they’re grown.
At Llanero Solidario, we support a local business network that helps minimize the environmental impact of supplying the products we consume.
By promoting short supply chains, we help reduce the environmental impact of transportation and significantly reduce the use of plastics.
